Hi! My name is Randi-Lyn…

Storyteller • Creative Writing Student • Artist • Advocate

Hi! I’m Randi-Lyn—an author, artist, astral photographer, coffee enthusiast, hockey momma, and lifelong collector of stories.

I’m currently pursuing my B.S. in English & Writing: Creative Writing at Liberty University while developing several new works of fiction, including my middle-grade fantasy adventure, Aurenveil: The Quest of the Northern Lights.

I write stories about belonging, unlikely friendships, complicated choices, grief, hope, and finding light in unexpected places. When I’m not writing, there’s a good chance I’m photographing the night sky, somewhere near an ice rink, drawing, reading, or drinking entirely reasonable amounts of coffee.

My Mission:

My mission has always been to help people through the magic of storytelling. What has changed over the years is the kind of stories I tell—and my understanding of just how powerful stories can be.

I began writing from personal experience, sharing my journey in hopes that another parent might feel a little less alone. That purpose will always be part of me, but somewhere along the way, my writing grew beyond my own experiences. I discovered that stories don’t always need to give us answers. Sometimes we need them to give us hope, comfort, laughter, adventure, or simply a place to belong for a little while.

Today, I write across genres, from stories inspired by real life to worlds built entirely from imagination. I want to create characters who feel human, adventures worth getting lost in, and stories that stay with readers after they’ve turned the final page.

I believe words can educate and advocate, but they can also connect us. They can carry us through grief, challenge the way we see the world, make us laugh when life gets heavy, and occasionally let us escape reality altogether.

If something I’ve written makes even one person feel understood, inspired, comforted, or excited to turn another page, then my writing has done what I hoped it would do.

May the stories we love lead to a million adventures!

MY UPCOMING BOOK - AURENVEIL: The Quest of the Northern Lights

Aurenveil: The Quest of the Northern Lights

When the Northern Lights begin to fade, an unlikely hero is called into an enchanted world.

Kazim is a non-speaking autistic boy who experiences the world in his own way. When he awakens in the mysterious forests of Aurenveil, he discovers magical dice that help him navigate choices, uncertainty, fear, and the winding path ahead. Along the way, he encounters a wise white wolf, opinionated ravens, a gentle spider, a sturdy boar—and a shadow that may not be the enemy it first appears to be.

But restoring Aurenveil’s missing light will take more than rolling the right number.

It will take courage, friendship, acceptance, and the willingness to keep moving forward when you don’t know where the path will lead.

Inspired by my son Kazim, Aurenveil: The Quest of the Northern Lights is a fantasy adventure celebrating neurodiversity, autonomy, unlikely friendships, and the many ways a child can communicate and be heard.

Because every child deserves an adventure—and every hero deserves a world that listens.
