Hi! My name is Randi-Lyn…

Writer • Artist • Storyteller

Hi! I’m Randi-Lyn—an author, artist, astral photographer, coffee enthusiast, hockey momma, and lifelong collector of stories.

I’m currently pursuing my B.S. in English & Writing: Creative Writing at Liberty University while developing several new works of fiction, including my middle-grade fantasy adventure, Aurenveil: The Quest of the Northern Lights.

I write stories about belonging, unlikely friendships, complicated choices, grief, hope, and finding light in unexpected places. When I’m not writing, there’s a good chance I’m photographing the night sky, somewhere near an ice rink, drawing, reading, or drinking entirely reasonable amounts of coffee.

My Mission:

My mission has always been to put a little more love and magic into the world through storytelling.

Writing is one of the ways I express gratitude—for the people who inspire me, the experiences that have shaped me, and the stories that have given me somewhere to belong. Sometimes that means sharing something deeply personal in hopes that another person feels a little less alone. Other times, it means creating an entirely new world and inviting someone to get lost in it for a while.

I believe stories can educate and advocate, but they can also comfort us, make us laugh, carry us through grief, spark adventure, and remind us that there is still wonder to be found in the world.

The greatest wealth I hope to gain from any of this is human connection. I want the people who inspire me to know that they mattered—that something about who they are, what they created, or the kindness they put into the world reached me. If I can return even a little of that happiness through something I write or create, that means more to me than any measure of success ever could.

And for the people I may never meet, I hope my work can offer something too: a little hope, a little laughter, a place to belong, an adventure to disappear into, or simply a bit of magic when they need it most.

If something I create makes even one person feel understood, appreciated, inspired, comforted, or excited to turn another page, then it has done exactly what I hoped it would do.

May the stories we love lead to a million adventures!

MY UPCOMING BOOK - AURENVEIL: The Quest of the Northern Lights

Aurenveil: The Quest of the Northern Lights

When the Northern Lights begin to fade, an unlikely hero is called into an enchanted world.

Kazim is a non-speaking autistic boy who experiences the world in his own way. When he awakens in the mysterious forests of Aurenveil, he discovers magical dice that help him navigate choices, uncertainty, fear, and the winding path ahead. Along the way, he encounters a wise white wolf, opinionated ravens, a gentle spider, a sturdy boar—and a shadow that may not be the enemy it first appears to be.

But restoring Aurenveil’s missing light will take more than rolling the right number.

It will take courage, friendship, acceptance, and the willingness to keep moving forward when you don’t know where the path will lead.

Inspired by my son Kazim, Aurenveil: The Quest of the Northern Lights is a fantasy adventure celebrating neurodiversity, autonomy, unlikely friendships, and the many ways a child can communicate and be heard.

Because every child deserves an adventure—and every hero deserves a world that listens.
