"A JOURNEY THROUGH AUTISM FOR THE PUZZLED PARENT: Volume 1 of the Puzzled Parent series" is the first book to my Puzzled Parent series and my first charitable contribution to the autism community.This book is my baby - my first publication of something so serious. Writing this book left me vulnerable and exposed to the world, sharing my most personal experiences throughout this journey.It has also generated over $1,000 in charitable donations to various autism-related non-profit organizations in its first year of being released.Not bad for a self-published author who not many people had even heard of prior to the release!This book continues to generate money for these organizations at 100%, but my greatest hope is that it's managed to help others who didn't know where to begin and felt alone, lost, and drained.It might not provide ALL the answers, but it's a terrific place to start.

"STRESS RELIEF, NETWORKING, AND ADVOCACY FOR THE PUZZLED PARENT:  VOLUME 2 OF THE PUZZLED PARENT SERIES" release date by mid-July!  Volume 2 of the Puzzled Parent series offers some great insight into the world of stress that comes with being a parent or caregiver to a child with autism.  It also covers the stress that the child goes through.  This book is extremely raw and real - diving head on into the hard pressed topics of communication, self-guilt, bullying and parent shaming.  It reveals the real life struggles endured and how to navigate through them by offering insightful tips on how to handle paperwork, how to appeal denials and fight the fight, how to advocate and network with people who empathize, how to establish a solid routine, and all sorts of stuff that's meant to educate and empower. Powerful therapies that are often overlooked  are discussed as well, including: Music therapy (Goes into detail about "sensorimotor integrative treatment" and how one special songwriter is healing my sons soul by the day), Equine therapy (have you ever heard of a therapy rooster? You're about to!) , and Theater games (mind blowing communication icebreakers that have been a game changer for my son big time!).  I poured my entire heart into this book and I CAN'T WAIT to release it to the world!  Available now!

 "The little boy who didn't want to sleep" was the first book I ever published. It's also the first book I ever wrote and digitally illustrated. So what's the story behind this? My son was about 1 and a half years old at the time and he had a lot of trouble sleeping through the night.He was waking up at all hours.Sometimes he was quite angry and other times he was laughing his little fanny off. I never understood what it was he was looking for, but usually a bottle of milk made him happy. One night...or early morning I should say...he woke up around 4am and neither of us could get back to sleep. He was thoroughly entertained and I was equally inspired.Inspired to write a book about all the reasons why I guessed my little boy didn't want to sleep.I imagined all sorts of fantastic things floating around in his mind and got it all down on paper while laying in bed at 4am.The story is short and sweet. I had a lot of requests to make this into a series.I thought about it and truly wanted to!It hasn't happened yet, but who knows?
